How It Works
Simply place the spacer across your frames and apply gentle pressure on the outsides and middle, or slide it from end to end. The strategically placed tabs ensure consistent spacing across all frames, including those tricky outer frames that often end up too close to the sidewall.
9 Frame Vs 8 Frame Spacing
Use 9 frame spacing in your brood boxes for standard bee space in the Hive IQ system. In your honey supers, switch to 8 frame spacing – the extra room allows bees to build out the comb further, making it much easier to uncap the wax during honey harvest.

Why Petg Matters
Many 3D printed beekeeping tools use basic PLA plastic, which can soften above 120°F. PETG offers better heat resistance (up to 160°F), UV stability, and superior impact resistance – built to handle the demands of outdoor beekeeping season after season.
A Note On Heat
While PETG handles typical outdoor beekeeping conditions well, avoid leaving items on a vehicle dashboard or storing them in a hot car during summer months. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 160°F may cause warping. Frame spacers are particularly susceptible due to their thin profile.
